The landscape design in Long Valley involved a complete backyard transformation which featured a liner pool constructed by Magaletta Design Environments, featuring a liner pool. Leaving the pool area there is a fire pit to warm up after a relaxing swim. A custom-built pergola built off the back of the house offers a shaded retreat for entertaining or relaxing.
Just a few steps outside of the pergola is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. A pavilion house was built at the back of the pool, which serves as a cabana with a bathroom and a changing area.
Adjacent to the pavilion house is a seating area with a custom fireplace flanked by cascading water features. Lush landscaping natural stone walls and terraced steps were incorporated throughout, adding visual interest and creating distinct levels within the yard.
Strategically placed privacy plantings complete the Long Valley landscape design to create a secluded oasis where one can truly unwind and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

The Long Valley project boasts a uniquely shaped liner pool surrounded by intricate masonry work, including a fireplace with elegant water features, a cozy fire pit, and a beautifully hardscaped pool surround. The patio, steps, and pathways are all meticulously crafted, creating a seamless flow throughout the space. The outdoor kitchen is adorned with exquisite stone finishes, adding a touch of sophistication to the entire outdoor area.
The outdoor kitchen is the entertainment hub of the backyard, featuring top-of-the-line appliances, including a grill, refrigerator, sink and more, all seamlessly integrated into custom-built stone counters with granite countertops. Neighboring the kitchen is the custom-built pergola, providing shade and a sense of intimacy to the outdoor dining area. With its combination of functionality and style, the kitchen and pergola offer a perfect space for cooking, dining, and entertaining outdoors.
Creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere, the custom stone fireplace and comfortable seating area make a great place to relax and socialize after a refreshing swim. We have been contracting with Magaletta Design for our Landscape Projects for over 10 years. Matt has such creative and unique Ideas when it comes to putting a project together from the initial design to the completed project. Matt made our job in Curtis Point, N.J. a work of art, including a remodeled pool, outdoor kitchen, raised patios and fire pit. Last season, Matt completed our backyard project in Chatham, N.J. Since its completion, we have used our backyard more than ever. When we sit in the backyard with family and friends within minutes, we are all relaxing and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. Matt is easy to work with and his staff is friendly and accommodating.
