Magaletta Design Environments was given free reign for the landscape design in Florham Park, NJ. The goal of the project was to create multiple areas in the outdoor space that catered to different activities. The main elements included a multi-level deck, patio, and pool area, which featured a lagoon-style pool with a waterfall, laminar jets and a sun shelf. An outdoor kitchen was constructor on the lower level of the deck, equipped with all the amenities including an outdoor television.
An elegant and intricately designed paver patio surrounds the pool, and natural stone walls separate different elevations throughout the landscape. For recreation and outdoor fun, the project included a bocce court and a full basketball court with high fencing for safety. A complete irrigation and drainage system was carefully designed and implemented by Magaletta Design Environments to maintain the landscape.

The landscape design in Florham Park seamlessly combines natural and structural elements, creating a cohesive design that flows throughout the property. The lush greenery and vibrant flowers in the front yard are only preview of what you will find in the back yard. Secluded by a border of shrubs and trees, lies a spacious and inviting outdoor living space with areas for entertaining, recreation and relaxing. Strategic outdoor lighting was designed to either create a warm evening ambiance or illuminate the courts for bocce or basketball long after dark.
A lagoon-style pool features a stunning moss rock and Indian Hill boulder waterfall. A sun shelf with custom glass tileand a 12 inch depth provides the perfect spot to relax while enjoying the captivating waterfall. Multiple laminar jets shoot archs of water into the pool, creating a dynamic effect. Surround by an elegant hardscaped patio, perfect for sunbathing or lounging after a swim, the pool is a great place to cool off after bocce or basketball.
The outdoor kitchen and custom masonry in the landscape design at Florham Park are the perfect fusion of convenience and style, making it an ideal space for outdoor living and entertaining. This kitchen features a grill, refrigeration, warming drawer, storage areas, trash pull-out and a television. The custom masonry steps from the deck make for a stunning transition to the patio constructed using two different colors of Cambridge XL pavers, adding visual appeal.

We have been contracting with Magaletta Design for our Landscape Projects for over 10 years. Matt has such creative and unique Ideas when it comes to putting a project together from the initial design to the completed project. Matt made our job in Curtis Point, N.J. a work of art, including a remodeled pool, outdoor kitchen, raised patios and fire pit. Last season, Matt completed our backyard project in Chatham, N.J. Since its completion, we have used our backyard more than ever. When we sit in the backyard with family and friends within minutes, we are all relaxing and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. Matt is easy to work with and his staff is friendly and accommodating.
